Case scratched and the design was ruined within the week. Tried to contact customer services for a refund with no response. Terrible!!

Terrible and incompetent company. I signed up for their membership which I couldn’t use because they couldn’t fix a system issue on their end. I was never actually able to log into my account to purchase anything or to use any of the “benefits” I was meant to receive as a member. I am now disputing the charges through my bank.

I bought a Pela iPhone case which broke within three months. Pela was helpful and replaced it, but the new case then broke after 6 months.

Pela offered me a 50% discount on another case but I asked for a refund which they refused. I don't see how expensive phone cases which break easily can be sustainable!

Overall, I would not buy any product from Pela again, which is a shame as the cases are attractive.

Falling apart in less than a year!
Case and finger grip both deteriorated quickly and have started falling apart. Finger grip lasted 9 months then completely snapped, clear back case started to lose shaped and peel away from the clear back within 6 months. Now looks awful after 1 year. May be compostable but needs to be more durable to prevent waste.

Ordered a case 9 months ago and broke the corner of it through my own fault (putting cash/cards in the back of the case). I saw that they had a 1 year warranty so I contacted them but unfortunately had lost my order number through deleting old emails. I offered them an email I sent to them all that time ago about a mistake I made in the postage address and they managed to use it to track down my order number to send a replacement! Was fully accepting them just to say they couldn’t help without an order number so was very pleasantly surprised and would recommend to anyone

what a joke, more than half this case is still plastic, it takes ages to get here and is ridiculously expensive...

As already described by others, they really don't make it clear that there will customs to pay if you shop in the shop designated for the EU.

I love this company. I am now on my second case from them (I upgraded my iPhone) and the case I received for the new phone was a little pinker than I had hoped for. I was able to easily exchange the case online and they didn't ask me to return the old case! Just that I keep it or find a new home for it. I also love that the cardboard sleeve my new case came in is for me to send my old case back to them so they can compost it! I wish more companies handled customer service the way they do. This was the easiest exchange process ever, and I love the company's mission and its products. Thank you all!

I recently bought a phone case from Pela and within a few months the corner ripped apart, leaving my phone unprotected. I have tried to contact the company regarding this issue but I have had no response. Emails, Instagram DMs and the permanently 'offline' help tab on their website, all have been ignored. What's the point of providing contact details if you're not going to respond?

If you want an eco-friendly case, buy a plastic one, they're sure to last longer and you won't have to throw it away. Buy something you won't need to keep replacing instead!

Canopy screen protector is useless, don't waste your money. Conveniently never approved my 1 star review of the product.. makes sense why its so highly rated now. Figuring out if they will actually cover my new screen...

Followup: they did cover my new screen. Looking more closely at the site, pretty sure any and all reviews are fake. Click the button to "Read their 48,000+ reviews" and see all 5 total. Which are also the same 5 reviews that appear on every single phone case. Still never got my review approved. Want to believe in the mission, but this is a joke. I decided a bulkier plastic case is more sustainable than a pela case + 2 screens.
